Transforming My Bathroom with Fresh Paint

I am excited to say the full bathroom here has been painted! Yay! Lets be honest, I spent way too long choosing a color. I went to both Home Depot and Lowe’s to get various paint chips, and ended up buying 5 sample jars of paint. Those things aren’t cheap! I knew I wanted a shade of blue but it took some time to get it right. Here are some of the colors I was considering.

I ended up hiring my handyman to do the painting, instead of doing it myself. The reason for that is the upper bathroom wall above the shower was all cracked, and I wasn’t sure of the right way to fix that. Of course it wasn’t cracked when I moved in, but that developed over the winter. My handyman told me the previous owner had just caulked the gap which isn’t a permanent fix. Here is an in progress photo. The cracks had to be taped up before painting.

And now, drum roll please, the final result!

I love the new color, it’s so bright and refreshing! The color is sea wave by Valspar, I got it at Lowe’s. Now that I have a bright new bathroom, I decided I’m going with a beach theme and got this fun turtle shower curtain on Amazon.

I also bought a starfish trinket tray which is too cute and matches the color and theme perfectly! I have my eye on these beach hand towels too. It will take a little while to get everything updated, but the painting part is done and looking great!
